Today’s April poem-a-day prompt was another “Two for Tuesday” with the guide to write either a poetic form poem or an anti-form poem.
I’m really not sure if this counts, but it is my attempt to explain my lack of anything more … structured (or refined). :)
Somewhat Formless
“Form” today – my chance to write a sonnet.
I had the first few lines; my mind was on it.
But then somehow the day flew quickly by.
(And you know just as me how time can fly.)
A haiku, perhaps, I can manage today …
But even that, as way fell unto way,
I did not have the wherewithal to pen,
And found the day was sweeping to its end.
With random words, my April streak I save
(Though Milton’s turning over in his grave.)
