2024 April PAD Challenge:
Day 7 Prompt: Write a luck poem. The luck could be good luck or bad luck. Maybe it's just the luck of the draw, or a contemplation of whether luck even exists.
Number the stars in the sky, trace
their reflection to earth. What is the probability
of the next sunrise? Pattern a thousand
rolls of the dice, make connections
to offer the meaning of life. Is it only luck earth
circles every time, only fortune this sunrise?
Cast lots only to find the veil torn every time.
Today’s poem marks one week of the poem-a-day challenge!
Here are the others for quick reference:
April 6: The Least I Can Do
April 5: Tell Me a Story
April 4: Gardener Errant
April 3: Counting Crows in My Front Yard
April 2: The Peaceful Spot
April 1: Fever Dreams
Just a little note on the image above. This time, I decided to use words from the poem and see what kind of design would unfold. These were the words I used: “stars in the sky, reflection to earth. find the veil torn every time.”
The outcome is not quite what I had pictured. What do you think about it?
